Detailed Description

Menu bar widget.

Signals:

  • MenuItemClicked
    • Optional parameter sf::String: name of the item on which you clicked
    • Optional parameter std::vector<sf::String>: Which menu was open, followed by which item you clicked on
    • Uses Callback member 'text' (menu item name) and 'index' (index of the open menu)
  • Inherited signals from Widget

overridevirtual

Changes the font of the text in the widget.

Parameters
fontThe new font.

When you don't call this function then the font from the parent widget will be used.

Reimplemented from tgui::Widget.

◆ setMinimumSubMenuWidth()

void tgui::MenuBar::setMinimumSubMenuWidth ( float  minimumWidth)

Changes the minimum width of the submenus.

When a submenu is displayed, the width will be either this or the width of the longest text in the submenu. The default minimum width is 125 pixels.

Parameters
minimumWidthminimum width of the submenus

◆ setOpacity()

virtual void tgui::MenuBar::setOpacity ( float  opacity)
overridevirtual

Changes the opacity of the widget.

Parameters
opacityThe opacity of the widget. 0 means completely transparent, while 1 (default) means fully opaque.

Reimplemented from tgui::Widget.

◆ setPosition() [1/3]

void tgui::Transformable::setPosition ( const Layout x,
const Layout y
)
inline

set the position of the widget

This function completely overwrites the previous position. See the move function to apply an offset based on the previous position instead. The default position of a transformable widget is (0, 0).

Parameters
xNew x coordinate
yNew y coordinate
See also
move, getPosition

Usage examples:

// Place the widget on an exact position
widget->setPosition(40, 30);
// Place the widget 50 pixels below another widget
widget->setPosition(otherWidget->getPosition().x, otherWidget->getPosition().y + otherWidget->getSize().y + 50);
// Place the widget 50 pixels below another widget and automatically move it when the other widget moves
widget->setPosition(tgui::bindLeft(otherWidget), tgui::bindBottom(otherWidget) + 50);
TGUI_API Layout bindBottom(std::shared_ptr< Widget > widget)
